About White Moose:Our products are unconventional to say the least. We thrive on designing products with personality turning gift giving & home decorating on its head. We're just as focused on giving back as we are on designing unique décor and it's become just as important to us as design. For each product purchased we plant a tree and we've also worked with a number of charities providing bushfire relief as well as care to venerable animals.
Every story has its beginning so it's important we introduce you to our head designer Colin Hutson. After a creative upbringing, founder of White Moose, Colin, went on to study design in Canada where the inspiration for the brand name "White Moose" came from. Prior to embarking on his own label, he worked for some of Australia's most well known retail brands. After 10 years at the helm of designing at White Moose he recalls his early days, dragging his beat up suitcase with a broken wheel onto a Melbourne tram early each morning to sell his designs at artists markets.
It was in these early days he began to meet retailers who were looking for unique designs to sell within their retail stores and began to sell Australia wide. White Moose now looks very different with over 1000 retailers stocking White Moose in Australia and New Zealand. Our HQ is a buzzing little hub with designs being developed, orders being packed and ideas of how we can do more for the world being talked through... all while our office dog Kenny tries to distract us with constant fetch games.
Our approach to design has remained much the same. We are inspired by the ever changing world in which we live and how we live in it. We understand that the reason why we have connected with you all is because of our approach to designing with purpose and remembering that not taking design too seriously is a serious thing.
